Kenta Mikoshiba is a minor character who appears in The Silver Case. They were a member of the Heinous Crimes Unit meant to fill in the void created by Sumio Kodai's arrest alongside Sakura Natsume.

Appearance and Personality

Mikoshiba seems to be a competent officer. Not much of his personality is shown to the player but he seems to be professional and reserved.

History

Mikoshiba attended the same academy as Sakura Natsume and they graduated at the same time. It is unknown if the two had any sort of relationship prior to joining the Heinous Crimes Unit. He apparently was transfered from the Central Police Department's Extrernal Affairs branch and at some point came in contact with Ryu Munakata.

The Silver Case

Joining the HCU

Mikoshiba is introduced to the Heinous Crimes Unit alongside Sakura Natsume immediatly preceding their raid on the IEDU Building. The HCU detectives storm the building in search of Kamui Fujiwara. As the operation commences and the HCU largely begin to turn on eachother. Mikoshiba meets up with Akira and Sakura telling them that Kamui hasn't actually killed anybody. He then reveals that he has been tasked by Morichika Nakategawa with killing Tetsugoro Kusabi who has gone rogue.

Mikoshiba makes his final appearence after Munakata and Nakategawa's violent shootout. He confronts Munakata about Nakategawa's words and refers to him as "sir" suggesting he may be a subordinate. Mikoshiba starts asking questions and asks if he can kill Kusabi. Munakata quickly gets annoyed by his questions and shoots Mikoshiba dead, dying alongside Nakategawa.

Trivia

It is unknown if he has any relation to Kenichi Mikoshiba, but it should be noted that both characters die in the fifth chapter of their respective games.
