Riley Kawabata (川畑 ライリー, Kawabata Rairī) is a minor character who appears in The Silver Case. he is the coroner for the Heinous Crimes Unit.
Appearance and Personality[edit]
Riley Kawabata is a middle aged, mustachioed man with dark hair. He seems to be a rather well adjusted and normal man by the standards of the HCU. He sees the HCU detectives as eccentric loose cannons that "don't know when to stop". Despite this he seems to have a good relationship with Kiyoshi Morikawa as the two usually play Mahjong together.

- Riley's surname Kawabata means "river, stream" (川) (kawa) and "field" (畑) (hata/bata).
Trivia[edit]
- Kawabata does not appear in The 25th Ward: The Silver Case nor is he mentioned. It is unknown if he is still affiliated with the HCU by 2005.
