Yotaro Osato is a character in The 25th Ward: The Silver Case. He is one of the main characters of the Matchmaker storypoint, along with his partner Shinkai Tsuki.

Appearance and Personality
Osato, in contrast to most of his coworkers, an outwardly gregarious and carefree young man who tends to make reckless decisions in the middle of tense situations, sometimes causing collateral damage for the rest of the Regional Adjustment Bureau to clean up. Despite this, his natural talents, alongside more mysterious factors, allow him to retain his occupation. Osato is also shown to have a rather noticeable sweet tooth, best exemplified by his taste for Mont Blanc, which he apparently tends to devour so quickly that Tsuki likens it to his initially reckless behavior.
Over the course of Matchmaker, Osato begins to adapt to his work environment more and maintain a slightly cooler and more focused head in the middle of his work. For example, his affinity for technology such as the Catherine Nano and the larger internet allow him to make himself more useful for the rest of the Regional Adjustment Bureau. However, this development also leads to the revelation that Osato, as the illegitimate son of Sundance Shot, possesses enormous criminal power - a disease-like potential to commit a crime or become a hypothetical "war machine." Despite this apparent genetic potential, Osato seems to have a relatively strong command over his own actions after this is revealed.
